Selection criteria for scholarship recipients
1. Acceptance into an undergraduate program at a public university in Zimbabwe.
2. Proof of socio-economic hardships.
3. Evidence of good character.
4. Personal statement addressing the following,
- what they want to study and why.
- why they deserve the scholarship
- how they intend to break the cycle of poverty in their community
Mentorship

We provide group and individualised mentorship to help the student navigate tertiary studies with confidence, as well as impart life skills essential for “life after school”.
- Step 1: Identify career goals of the candidate
- Step 2: Match student to a mentor
- Step 3: Develop an individualised program to achieve goals
- Step 4: Schedule regular check in meetings
We organise various activities for the beneficiaries as part of group mentorship. These include regular camps, training and motivational speakers. In 2022 we were granted a charter by Toastmasters International to form Simba reDzidzo Toastmasters Club whose goal is to improve public speaking and leadership skills amongst the scholarship beneficiaries.
